Pair of Quad ESL 57 Electrostatic Speakers - Serviced !

I have owned these Quad Speakers for around 25 years and recently had them serviced by Quad at the IAG Service Centre at Huntingdon. Fantastic result, as they now sound really incredible. However, sadly, as I am now downsizing, I must sell them. The speakers are fitted with black grills which look amazing and really modern. (The highlights on the speaker grilles photos are caused by the lighting, not marks on the grilles.) As you can see from the photos, the appearance of the units is excellent, but as you might expect for items of this age there are some very minor marks. These obviously do not affect the performance and it is possible to refinish the units, although personally I believe it is better keep them original. The EHT blocks and treble units have been replaced to give top quality performance. This is a great opportunity to own and listen to these superb speakers.

Eltax Millennium 400 4 Way 400 Watt Speakers. Awesome & Beautiful ! -

Up for grabs is a stunning pair of Eltax Millennium 400 speakers. I have had these speakers a few years & they have given me plenty of enjoyment. The build quality is lovely & the sound quality fantastic, they really can deliver the highs, mids & pounding lows with ease ! The have their original isolation spikes & are in excellent condition. I separated the 2 bottom 8 inch drivers in these speakers by adding a another set of speaker terminals. This allows you to use a 4 channel amp on them or as I did use them as both Front speakers & subwoofer for a surround system. This worked fantastically well for me. It meant I did not have to have an ugly sub hanging around but still had the bass needed to back up movies effects. I have never hammered these speakers, always used them way under their massive 400 watt per channel maximum. I have used a stock photo as I cannot seem to load the photo I have on to the website. They are identical to the ones in the photo & in excellent condition. Please note I cannot find their front covers so sold without them at the moment (I never used them, these speakers are so good looking I never wanted to cover them up !) 75 Or sensible offers.
